Surface Pro 7 adds USB-C port, 10th Gen Intel Core CPUs

Microsoft hit the stage at its Surface effect today to unveil the refreshed Surface Pro 7. The latest version of Microsoft's flagship 2-in-1 tablet carries forward the design that nosotros've become familiar with, but it brings some modern additions that should come every bit welcome improvements.

The near striking upgrade is the addition of a USB-C port — something the Surface fans have been hoping would make an appearance for some time now. That'south in add-on to a unmarried USB-A like previous Surface Pros. It's a necessary compromise, with Microsoft taking a step forward in connectivity while still keeping one foot in place for legacy connectivity.

In terms of specs, you're getting a 12.iii-inch Pixelsense display and options of 4GB, 8GB, and 16GB of LPDDR4x RAM. The RAM type, in particular, should represent a decent performance increase over the LPDDR3 RAM included in the previous model.

Microsoft has too gone with Intel's latest 10th Gen CPUs, with Cadre i3, i5, and i7 options available. In terms of storage, you're looking at 128GB, 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB options.

The Surface Pro 7 will be availalbe on October 22, 2022 starting at $749.
